It's surprisingly hard for me to post an image of myself on this page. Maybe I should take a look at this website called The Nu Project - I hear it's all about body positivity. One of the people in my life who completely changed the way I approached photography (and to some degree, humans in general), is Renata aka #QueenieVonCurves, a awesome human / burlesque performer in the #Minneapolis-St. Paul area. She's the one on the left. Years ago, during her Nu Project session, I saw an incredible confidence and ease that still radiates through her images. As a photographer, I strive to give each person space and encouragement to feel comfortable, confident and beautiful. As a human, I am constantly reminded of the ability we have to influence the way people think and feel about themselves (for better or worse). Her display of confidence and beauty actually made me feel better about myself, which is one of the reasons I asked her to join me for this post.
