Week One - Three Slog

To be quite honest with you, I was a little scared when I went to my first lecture of csc108. I had little experience, and my logic thinking skills are not very good. However, I somehow survived the course, and now here I am in csc148, and very excited to learn more about coding.

Being in this class make me think about everyday life a little differently. For example, when I went out for a brunch last week, and used the debit card machine, all I could think of was all the codes they probably had in this machine for it to work. Sometimes when I simply visit a website, I sometimes get distracted and forget why I went on that website because I was again thinking about all the code the web developer had to use for this website to function as well as it does. I just find it very fascinating how much coding is involved in our everyday life nowadays.

However, there are some challenges I faced, such as blanking out in lectures, almost handing in assignments late, and more that I’m trying to overcome in this course. My goal is to pay more attentions in class, but I have a very short attention span and always get distracted so I downloaded this app called ‘Self Control’ to block all the distracting websites during lectures. My other goal is to try to finish the lab during that 2 hours tutorial.

Anyway, this course has been interesting so far, and I don’t really know how to end a blog post so okay good bye I hope everyone have a very nice day :))
