Thank you, mutual, for reviving my interest in Don't Starve and reminding me about my familial selfship

Just realized that when I was planning out some lore about a familial selfship with WX-78 (habits and manner of speaking with each other), I realized I was projecting my real experiences with one of my parents.

Should I just go for it and add my experiences with my other parent too?

Fun fact! My Don't Starve selfship will have SO. MUCH. ANGST before we get the fluffy child-parent bonding! ^w^

I colored the "I don't really have much to say about them" box because I'm a person of few words. I just like them because I like them!! Also because they're a robot & I LOVE robots :)

Selfship lore with: Wisdom & WX-78!

Their tag is "connected circuits". "Connected" to indicate their closeness as a family & "circuits" for WX-78

Wisdom has always been their daughter even before they became a robot

They have been raising her alone as a single parent ever since she was a baby

She is aware that her parent works in the field of science yet still doesn't know what exactly are they studying about

Yes, she asked about it. But didn't get the explanation (she was like 9 that time, ok-)

Wisdom always calls them "Moddy" & this... might have made her an outcast within her peers for not addressing her parent with common terms (Mom, Dad, Daddy, etc.) (This takes place somewhere in 1920s or 30s so nonbinary wasn't well known that time)

They both live in an apartment & share a big bed. Wisdom does most of the easy cleaning (sweeping, washing dishes) & leaves the harder ones to her moddy

She is learning how to cook. Currently being taught by her moddy.

Is not trusted around electronics or tools. She has an accidental touch that can easily break them a few days later

They keep their inventions at the lab instesd of bringing it at home to finish it due to Wisdom's "touch"

Wisdom is used to being home alone while her moddy works late. She goes to bed but never forgetting to leave some space on the bed, knowing that they'll be there the next morning

One day, her parent didn't came home but left a letter. It tells her that they'll be busy for the next several days & won't come home.

(What she didn't know is that they have transferred their consciousness into a metal body)

Still receives letters from her moddy. She likes reading them

Keeps the letters in a special box she has decorated. Writes back to them

One day the letters just... stopped. Wisdom waited. Maybe they were busy. The day turned into 2 days, 4, a week. That's when she got concerned

Bought a new knife after school due to the old one broke & secretly went to her moddy's workplace

Ended up in the Constant alone, with nothing but a knife & her favourite jacket
