I've spent the last couple of days defining with my teammates the product offering. Actually, the things I've worked more is the very presentation, in its structure and declinations.

The theme is the "product offering", and the idea is that we want to make something different from the classic powerpoint presentation over the doc that we are requested to prepare.

Maybe I'll just spoil the surprise, but we are just exploiting the occasion to build the v.0 of our website! You can find it, at this moment, at http://connectedots.daiquiriism.com/

It's obviously a work in progress, but I'm personally adding more elements every minute, thanks to the backend support of my teammates.

In the foto you can see how messy my workplace is, and HERE you can find the soundrtrack I've been listening in the last hour and an half. Before it was Goldberg Variations. Next will be something more rock, maybe Red Hot Chili Peppers.

PS there will be another surprise on tuesday, but I'm not going to spoil this one! :)

Building up

Today presentation was quite messy.

The topic were customers. The concepts clear to everyone, the main problem was the presentation itself.

Don't misunderstand, it was good. The problem is that it was just a collage of different styles, put together to let everyone talk in their best way.

Now, there were my slides, the very minimalistic ones, than the "academic one", very rich of contents but ugly. And just classic normal slide, with too many words for my taste.

Now, I also don't think that we must have a really "corporate identity". What I actually didn't like were the criticisms made one of my teammates about how I did built my slides, because they were "too difficult to understand".

Whell, slides for their very essence are a support to explanation. To let people read something, in fact, we made a paper. Also, open critics without explanations or solutions is sterile.

I do not like omologation, and I'm prone to accept any kind of critics, but with strong motivations. When I comment the work of others I try to also propose solutions, and i make it clear that is my point of view. I do it because I know I have a really bed character myself, and tend to put way too much ego in my statements, so I force to limit myself.

I think that, as a group, we should work more with assertiveness. Probably, it should be an important pillar of our philosophy.

Last minute work

Short update just to say that tomorrow we must make some kind of presentation about our possible client. It's just a theorethical work, but the interesting thing is that we are actually a couple of step ahead, and we have some contacts with some prospect clients!

ConnecteDots

I'm actually trilled to announce that our project has now officially a name, it's connecteDots.

Yeah, it's like connected dots, which recalls both the concepts of creativity and networking, which are particularly important in our mission. By saying it, it sounds like "connected dots", but also "connect the dots", which is what we do, creating connection and interactions between things.

I hope you like it. Next days I will also try to create a sketch of some logos.
