Business Model canvassing today! :)
One last (?) post
It was an intense month. I've worked to my idea almost every time of the day and the night, and today it's my last post as "journal". From the next days, i decided, I'm continuing this idea sharing, just because I like it.
The amazing thing is that this is just the beginning.
Tomorrow I'm gonna continue working to the friday presentation with my teammates. We actually manage to involve Miriam, a marvelous illustrator in our team, and maybe she will be present to our presentation.
I'm working on gathering more clients, and I'm trying to think ways to involve more my mates in the "commercial" field. I find it the most difficult part in this kind of work, because I'm not that "commercial born" type, and I like more the creative part of the projects then the client gathering one.
It was great working this way, and very challenging. I think we just started to discover our potential as a team. I must admit, I'm way more interested in the work we are making that the exam itself, which still is an important benchmark.
So, I'm gonna continue, but I'll stop tag my posts as "cfjournal" and "cfventuing", because from now on it's just me and my work, hope you will like it! :)
Sushi on the road
Today I went to Bologna to see the exposition by Gunther Von Hagen “Body Worlds”. The idea is to transform donated corpses into artworks, with a secondary divulgation objective.
It was interesting and inspiring. The exibits started in the 70s, and are now a global phenomenon, and in my opinion a very interesting case of innovation. Today you can decide to donate your corpse to the foundation (even after organ donation).
I liked it very much. The whole idea started about making human anathomy more understandable, even more “pop”.
And on the way home I stopped to eat sushi. It was a very great day.
Collapsing time
I actually realized today that on next monday we have to make this very journal available to the prof, and I could have many other things towrite down.
About the last minut work we are going to do. About the interview we are making. About the projects we are talking about. Yhe new ideas that are coming to our mind, that are making all this experience real.
Tomorrow I’ll go to a trip to Bologna, to see the “Body World” exibition. It doesn’t have anything to do with my work, but I love to have any kind of different experiences, to see and learn new things every day.
I’ll try to write something more down before monday, but I’m not sure I’ll manage to tell that much. In fact, this past couple of days I just worked, and time disappeared. It was as simple as that! :)
Stay tuned!
Too much to do
This days I had so much things to do I didn't even have time tu update this tumblr, which is kind of a positive thing, i guess! :)
First thing thirst, I'm searching for collaborators. Apparently my idea is getting more and more positive feedbacks, not just the "oh, that's cool" kind, but expecially the "yes, I'd like to share my project with you" type, which is the most valuable. Obviously I get also some perplexities and critics. I value these also, because they allow me to stress the weak points if this idea.
This very afternoon I'll meet a potential duo to create a project, and this evening a wannabe illustrator for the team. To these people I do not promise money, or a sure work, but just the possibility to make what they want in their life, helping them to make their inner value come out.
Apparently, for an unemployed or freelance person this is considered very valuable.
I'm also working on 2 project now, one that is near the end, the other one at its beginning. I would really need more collaborators to share with them some of this work. And I should also prepare for university exam. And sleep, sometimes!
Tomorrow, hopefully, we will manage to bring forward our work on the business model canvas, and a cost/revenue prospect, that is also in my to do list, so stay tuned for updates.
After 2 weeks of full immersion in my work, this weekend I went to Berlin to enjoy some German air. It was very cool and refreshing (not just because the cold wind), but also for the opportunity to switch the brain off for a couple of days.
But now, back to work! :)
Overwork
Just posting to tell you that I completely missed the weekend. I didn't have satyrday or sunday, I just worked all the time.
The result was great. I helped the team to make one of my best presentation ever. Funny thing is that we don't even have a presentation for most of the time: one of our requests was to create some kind of "product brochure", so we decided to design a real website, or at least the 0.1 version (very fast prototyping) of our official site.
I'm very surprised of the effective quality of the final product. Its communication style and overall design are quite good for a first version, even if I worked on it for quite the time.
I hope tomorrow we will make a good impression!
I've spent the last couple of days defining with my teammates the product offering. Actually, the things I've worked more is the very presentation, in its structure and declinations.
The theme is the "product offering", and the idea is that we want to make something different from the classic powerpoint presentation over the doc that we are requested to prepare.
Maybe I'll just spoil the surprise, but we are just exploiting the occasion to build the v.0 of our website! You can find it, at this moment, at http://connectedots.daiquiriism.com/
It's obviously a work in progress, but I'm personally adding more elements every minute, thanks to the backend support of my teammates.
In the foto you can see how messy my workplace is, and HERE you can find the soundrtrack I've been listening in the last hour and an half. Before it was Goldberg Variations. Next will be something more rock, maybe Red Hot Chili Peppers.
PS there will be another surprise on tuesday, but I'm not going to spoil this one! :)
