Fascinated by this depiction of Alexander the Great (from Apotheosis of Homer by Ingres). I thought this was supposed to be Athena or Minerva or someone like that. It reminded me of this thought-image I had rattling around in my head with no context from long ago.

Challenge me
Conquer my intelligence, my perspicacity, my madness. Conquer this part of me which want to be more than it is. Give me a place where I can be myself, with all my doubts, fears, joy, craziness and randomness. Give me an ear and I’ll give you my voice. You don’t have to say anything only hug me. Give me a silent companionship that won’t judge me. Show me the light when I fall in the endless darkness inside me. Grab me by shoulders, shake me and make me see how wonderful the world is.
And, every time you’ll need me, I’ll be there. I’ll do the same for you without hesitation.
