Photo Description: Four black and white photographs. The first is a person in a fedora with large glasses facing a computer screen (Marrok Sedgwick). The computer is attached to a projector, which is projecting closed captions. The captions read “Figure One: See how poor her judgement is? Of course you must remain restrained. You are having delusions that you can turn into a wolf! What if you were to suddenly.” The second photograph is the audience’s view, looking at four actors standing behind music stands. From left to right the actors are: a tall man in white shirt and dark pants, Richard Boynton (Figure One); A short young man wearing a black blazer and pants, Brian Benjamin Balisteri (Figure Three); a middle aged woman with hair loose and wearing a blouse and dark pants, Chris Caffrey (Figure Two); a young woman in a thigh-length black sleeveless dress and wearing black high heels, Roxanne Cheysson (Ginny). To their right is a small table and chair, where the Narrator (Michael Lojkovic) would sit (he is the photographer). Above the actors’ heads is the screen for the closed captions, which is unreadable in this photo due to the contrast. Above the heads of the actors and stretching towards the audience are some white christmas lights in small repeating arches, and four large orb-shaped Chinese lanterns. In the third photograph, the photographer stands in line with the actors and faces them. They are in profile. The middle aged man looks towards the camera, the young man looks at the middle aged man, and the other actors look down at their scripts. The background is completely black, except for some light sneaking in the doorframe behind the actors, and one of the orbs, which floats above the middle aged man. In the last picture, light radiates down from above, and the young man looks at the young woman, smiling. The young woman looks back, eyes wide in suspicion. The middle aged man and woman sit in chairs behind the area with the music stands.
Here are some fantastic photographs taken by Michael Lojkovic of the dress rehearsal for the staged reading of Conquering Madness. A great time was had. Congratulations to the artistic team!
