This past weekend was Presidents' Day so the mountain was more crowded than usual making the sometimes elusive powder harder to get to. So my buddy Chad and I set out hiking, more like hunting, as we were following a trail of winding footsteps out of bounds through the thick snow. After about thirty minutes and several breaks we emerge from the trees, as we are now above the tree line, only to see that the tracks continue and we need to go a little further to reach the top. Soon enough we reach the summit and the tracks we have been following disappear. We take one more break at the top to take in the view and catch our breath, as oxygen is a little hard to come by up there. We strap our boards on, take one more look around, and prepare for one hell of a ride!
