He once took a Raider's head clean off with a sledgehammer for stomping on one's neck, then held an Institute whitecoat at gunpoint until they provided him a book full of repair instructions for older models. He didn't holster his gun for twelve hours straight, eyes towards the door, using just one hand to bring them back to full working order.

Comin' back to the idea of Kellogg realizing once him and Synth Shaun are assigned to live in Diamond City, barely fifty feet away from the site of the Broken Mask, it's only a matter of time before they're sniffed out by Nick or Piper. He's not at all considering Sole showing up as a factor here.

Kellogg meets with Nick and begs him to help them hide, framing it as a protection job he's taken, keeping a kid being fought over in a custody battle safe until the relatives unfit to care for him give up. He's caught onto the Institute looking to get rid of him and talks about it with Nick with the same plodding certainty as a terminal disease. Nothin' we can do. Please, just give me this before they terminate me. It's the one thing I can make right.

Would Nick's sympathy for the kid and the merc override his concern about Kellogg's true motives?

Nick raises an eyebrow a bit at the claim he's willing to do "anything", Kellogg reassures him that yes or no he'll keep the choice a secret, I know you value your privacy highly.

Since Scourge's collar originally said Tiny and Kellogg carries what some would say is a compensatingly large gun, Conrad's Survivor Gimmick should be Russian Roulette / Risky physical attacks that, if he wins the dice roll, increases the caliber of the bullet, to the point it may bust the chamber on his .45 wide open but permanently Kill one Killer for a 2 v 8 round.

Actual Canon Conrad Kellogg is like a HUGE example of self-pity and, surprisingly for such a skilled mercenary, *learned helplessness.*

So a lot of the logic in putting an offbrand version of him named Conrad Cereal in a Roger Rabbit crossover was taking away all those excuses about what "he had to do to survive." Alright, you're alive again in a prosperous place a lot like Pre-War. You've gotta sell the illusion you've always lived here and bam, you get to rewrite your story. Now what?

Turns out, lotta sobbing breakdowns. His relationship with Nick put him back in his childhood headspace of "I have to please this person because they have the power to kill me if they wanted to."

Alive and his own person again, finally treating his life as worth something, but lost in a strange world, torn by the desire to go back.
