Not sure how much time passed in the interim, but the days between teenaged Knives finding Conrad and the Last Run/Vash showing up must have been interesting. Knives was still wearing human clothes then, he wasn't fully into his stone cold bitch/flood the earth for forty days and nights persona, and he was, very, very, young. Methinks there was a point where he bopped around in Conrad's penthouse much like a regular teen boy, unconsciously doing regular teen boy things when he wasn't off Edward Cullening at the piano.
