Is there a version of the Folger Macbeth online?
Yep, here it is!
conrad-tesdinic mentioned you on a post
“Christopher Chant drinks tea without milk or sugar... and i feel...”
@minutia-r nope, straight up black tea for me... does he?
Yeah, I’m pretty sure Julia mentions it in Charmed Life when Gwendolen interrupts the milk delivery.
hey I have kind of a theology question.. I'm talking with my lab partner and he was telling me how Catholicism has a special focus on Mary; do you know why that might be?
Yeah, Catholicism reveres Mary whileProtestantism doesn’t really (some of the high church does, but not as much asCatholicism and definitely not the mainstream Protestant denominations). If youmean why as in the process of how Mary ended up being so important, itdeveloped through the course of Church history. In one of the ecumenicalcouncils in the early church that decided church doctrine, Mary was declared toΘεοτόκος, God-bearer (often calledthe Mother of God). It then developed through the Middle Ages. If you mean thetheological reason, the biblical rationale is in how she’s talked about in theGospels, like when Elizabeth (her cousin, mother of John the Baptist) said “blessedare you among women,” and the obvious important role she played in Christ’slife and ministry, considering she was His mother. And, Mary is easy to relateto because she is human, and a mom. So we can connect to that rather easily--love your mom? Know what the love of a mother for her children is like? Thereyou have Mary. She continues to have this love for us today, since Christiansbelieve that after death the soul exists even if the body doesn’t, so she’s inHeaven like other saints and hears calls for intercession and the like.
That help?
conrad-tesdinic replied to your post “I got my bloodwork back from the allergy clinic and I’m not actually...”
did you... do a skin test?
Yes. It was wickedly inconclusive. Like, even the controls were whack. There’s literally a ? as a result for one of them. Shit’s absurd.
hello, do you have an ao3?
