CONVERSE "THE TALE OF FOUR CITIES - NEW YORK" Dir: Richard Quintero Edited: Andrew Price The fourth and final installment of recent Cons project, "The Tale of Four Cities" focuses on one of the most important and well recognised locations of modern day life.
New York's reputation, rich in both culture and diversity runs deep alongside the foundations of street skateboarding as we know it. Playing a pivotal role in our scene, New York has beckoned many into its realms, such as our presenter, Aaron Herrington, who shows us the ropes of a typical day in The Big Apple. After grabbing some skate fuel and standing behind the doors of Labor, Aaron pushes through familiar avenues, hitting up Tompkins, LES and Tribeca. We finish up in Bushwick at the headline event for the project, where Professor Schmitt educates all on the shaping and designing of a skateboard deck. A great collection of films exhibiting a much more personal and intimate take on a generic "Day in the Life" edit. Brilliantly executed once more by the radical Richard Quintero. Props spread to all involved in this series, with hopes that a sequel will follow.
