I’m trying to redesign Modern Amy because… Well, looking at her classic version, she lost all of her “hedgehogness”, she doesn’t have quills on her back anymore, her nose is different and her hair resembles an echidna’s, it even looks like Sega was trying to make her a “waifu material” because she looks like a normal girl now. And, I think that her design is very padronized, it looks like an uniform.

So, maybe she should have a contrast, cute clothes, but then there’s her shoes that breaks a bit of the “cute princess” look. It gaves her more personality than that padronized costume.

And then by adding again all her biological appearance I made her more hedgehog, because, y'know, male and female hedgehogs are the same, so taking away those features didn’t made her more girly, but almost transformed her into another animal. And I know, in that times Amy was basically “Sonic, but it’s his girl version”, but now I think they should give value to “consistency”.
