Constance/Mercedes, Constance/Edelgard, Petra/Cyril, Balthus/Yuri?
Constance/Mercedes: SCIENCE SISTERS SCIENCE SISTERS SCIENCE SISTERS SCI-- *gets blasted through the wall during experiments*
Honestly, these two are just absolutely adorable. I like how it's a canon platonic/familial relationship that just gives the warm fuzzies. I do think it could work great as a romantic pairing, but I love their sisterly bond too much.
Constance/Edelgard: Okay, so it's almost like, "Notice Me, Senpai" levels of funny at times, and I oddly love it for that? It's very clear that the two respect each other and Edelgard sees Constance as a very trusted friend and ally, and potentially more given their paired ending. I think they'd live a very happy life together.
Petra/Cyril: I think this is probably the second best Cyril support (Ashe and Lysithea are tied for first for me). I love how we're able to see two people from different circumstances coming to find common ground, similarities, and respect for each other. And eventually, if you get their paired ending, love. It's just absolutely adorable and sweet. I love them.
Yuri/Balthus: Ooooooh boy. So. I'm conflicted. Because on the one hand, their relationship does kind of lean on some really outdated queer stereotypes that make me uncomfy if I think on it too long. On the other than, these two guys are clearly so close that I can believe they'd run to save the other in a moment of crisis, and I adore that about them.
BUT THEN HOPES HAPPENS.
This is probably the one pairing I feel has been 100% detrimentally damaged by Hopes.
I know I made these as a joke
But where I see Houses!Yuri wearing the one on the right in jest, Hopes!Yuri feels like he'd wear it and mean it. And that makes me sad.
