Thirtylicious Playlist- Day 5
Song: When your Mind's Made Up
Artiste: Glen Hansard, Marketa Irglova
Why I Like It: This is that song for the stubborn friend who won't be helped, or the emotionally unavailable object of desire, who chooses to shut down or run when times get hard, and just CANNOT be reasoned with. But this song come from the perspective of the friend/lovestruck who says, "listen fine. go run, go hide away, you silly stubborn soul. But I'll still be here, and when you need me, I'll show up." It was also a highlight song from an incredible movie called "Once" that officially converted my musical-hating husband into a musical appreciator :-)
Key Lyric: So, if you ever want something/And you call, call/Then I'll come running.
Dedicated to the kinds of people who don't let runaway loved ones ever really get too far away....
“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.”
Charles W. Eliot
