🖊 Zander! Anything you want to reveal about his backstory?

I actually have a whole set of side stories planned for Zander in his early time with Cain but! There is definitely some stuff!

 He’s one of the many cases where he didn’t actually sign up for this life, not willingly anyway

He was brought into this when he was 18, shortly after graduating high school

Before all this he was living with his father. His parents were separated but he had a very good relationship with both of them

“Zander” is only a small part of his full name, however nobody called him that before all this, it’s just Cain’s bastardization of his name in order to further control him and cut him off from his previous life

His father had an unfortunate and unintentional part in him ending up like this

🦋 If your OC could change everything (or just something) about their life would they? What would they change? What do they think would happen if they did? What would their loved ones think?

He’d want to essentially change his whole childhood, change the fact that the only two people he could call family passed away (under different circumstances), the way his mother treated him when she was alive. The only thing is that if he did change this, he most likely wouldn’t be where he is now, which sounds good since he wouldn’t be with Cain, but he also wouldn’t have his job, he wouldn’t have his friends he met through that job, and Zander wouldn’t have someone so determined to help him escape.

8. Does your oc prefer being in a crowd or being completely alone? How many people can be around them before they get uncomfortable?

 Wren prefers to be on his own or in small groups, for him the max is around four people besides himself and even then he tends to get uncomfortable and anxious. In general he’s an introvert and people around too many people just exhausts him. 

17. How well can your oc keep secrets? Is there a difference between how they handle their own vs someone else’s? To what lengths would they go to keep something hidden?

 Silas is pretty good at keeping secrets, he has quite a few of his own that he is determined to keep to himself. For the most part he’s just as good with other people’s secrets, except for the fact that he can’t really keep anything from Dahlia. Anyone who knows him knows that if they’re going to tell him a secret they’re basically telling her too. Depending on the secret though, he would go to great lengths, possibly even taking drastic measures to keep it hidden

12. Do they have recurring nightmares? If so, what are they about?

Pre-Alastair, his recurring nightmares generally centered around his childhood, the vampires he dealt with, and the abuse and torture he suffered at their hands. He rarely had a night where he didn’t have one of these nightmares, but things only got worse post-Alastair. Since then he’s had several dreams about the vampire that occasionally break up the other nightmares, but the most recurring one involves him simply waking up back in that mansion with the vampire’s arms around him, which is enough to fuck him up for the rest of the day.

42. When was the last time they said “I love you” to someone and why?

I wish I could search words in my documents because I don’t think Silas has ever said “I love you” in anything I’ve written yet

 In his general life, it’s likely the last person would’ve been Dahlia, he’s not one to say it out loud very often so I picture the scenario to be one of the several, several times he’s unintentionally stressed her out or scared her with his general recklessness, apologizing for his (most likely, dumb as shit) behavior and reminding her that he does love her, and he doesn’t mean to scare her by almost dying every other month

🏞️ If your OC could travel to anywhere in their world where would they go? Why? If they could live there would they?

excluding home for both of them since it’s a little obvious

 Since their world is meant to be just ours but ambiguous future:

 Zander has always wanted to travel through Europe, though his interest mainly lies in extremely old, most likely haunted places

 Wren on the other hand would enjoy traveling to somewhere like Hawaii. The poor guy wants needs a relaxing beach vacation so bad, especially after all this

🍄 What are your OCs favourite snacks? Their favourite comfort food which always cheers them up when they’re down? Favourite meal to make? Do they enjoy baking and cooking and are they any good in the kitchen?

 Since you said any OC I’ve decided to go with Wren!

Favorite snacks: Wren is a fruit and/or vegetable slices as a snack kind of person, his fridge is almost always well stocked with this stuff

Favorite comfort food: Almost the same as his favorite snacks, but with the added element of extra sugar. Apples in caramel, strawberries in whipped cream, anything like that is one of the quickest ways to cheer him up

Favorite meal/Enjoyment of cooking/Skill: His favorite meal is a full breakfast kind of deal, pancakes and bacon and eggs, he’s definitely a “breakfast for dinner” kind of person. He doesn’t necessarily hate cooking but it’s definitely not his favorite thing to do, but he is pretty good at it since he’s been cooking for himself for A While
