Conditions were outside of expected operational parameters causing arboreal integrity to break down causing sudden positional change resulting in the engagement of botanical safety features
So, I got up in the middle of the night the other night to comfort my son who was upset. I tucked him in and asked if he wanted a lullaby. He asked what's a lullaby. I explained it is a soothing song to help you sleep and he said he wanted one. So I sung rock-a-bye baby. He asked what's a bough. He asked what happened to make the cradle fall. He asked if anyone was hurt. I told him that a bough is a a tree brannch, and the wind was too strong and the branch broke causing the cradle to fall. I told him there were no injuries. He asked, " Not even a broken bone?" I said no, no bones were broken. He asked why.
I said because it fell one a nice soft haystack. He asked where was the haystack and I told him under the tree. He asked what is a hay stack. I told him it was a stack of hay. He asked what hay was and I told him it was cut grass and plants dried and used to feed horses. He asked when this happened and I said a while back.
So since that night, he has frequently asked me to sing him a lullaby. Not always at night, but whenever he was a bit upset. And each time he has had me confirm the details above, some times asking more questions about why the branch broke and Why the haystack was under the tree. It seems now like he may think this actually happened at some point. I wonder if he is constructing a memory of it.
