Things that happen at work:

So I work with a bunch of dudes, and honestly it doesn’t bother me at all. But I have had other females make comments (nothing beyond “oh, I don’t know how you can stand/do/tolerate it” that kind of thing…)

And honestly I kind of don’t get it. The only real thing you need to know about working with men in that they are 1) the absolute worst gossips ever and 2) people will absolutely tolerate an asshole that’s really fucking good at his job, but you have to be literally the best at what you do in order to get away with lawsuit matters, and even then it’s a short fucking rope that you can hang your self with and 3) they’re literally the worst gossips ever…actually listening to the whole team goes a really long way.

Things that happen at work:

Me, answering my work phone: What’s up?

Head Plumber: Remember when I said I missed you?

Me: Which time?

Head Plumber: Meet me outside for a smoke, I just got put in charge of a fucking awesome contract.

Long story short, he’s going to be able to hire back the plumbers that were let go last month, needs to double his staff on top of that, and needs to have three office support staff in order to execute the project.

I love my company, but gotdamnit guys. I do not need this kind of emotional whiplash.
