In reference to your book rec question, I've really been loving reading Sarah Waters lately. She combines historical fiction with lgbt (especially wlw) narratives, so that might be up your street! I've read 'Tipping the Velvet', 'The Night Watch' and 'Fingersmith' so far, and I'm planning to read her three other novels soon as well!

Thanks! I’ve seen her name pass by while looking for titles, so I’ll give it a try! Historical fiction + lgtb is two birds with one stone, so it should be interesting. :)

My museum adventures found me in Merseyside Maritime Museum in Liverpool on Tuesday. While it turned out it was mostly about the seafaring of years after OFD, it was still very intriguing and a lot of fun! AND they had an exhibition about gay sailors, which i found very fitting! And there was a sailor's hammock on display, which of course lead me to think about the John POV ficlet. Which is maybe ill advised at public places, but what can you do. Basically IT WAS ALL JUST VERY EXCITING!

OMG THIS IS ALL SO AWESOME! You know nothing gets me going like a good nautical museum!!!! The gay sailor exhibit sounds fascinating! And also, THAT HAMMOCK! I am deeply honored that it made you think of wanking sailor John. :))) *happy sigh*
