omg you guys it is 8:30 and I am only 1,000 words in and I’ve barely defined my terms much less started in on any of my examples. This topic is just too huge- I have too much to say- it means so much to me, (and I have been intermittently paralyzed by fears of inadequacy). I took way too long to plan and now my brain is mush and it sucks because my ideas are soo good but I’m only going to get MORE exhausted and incoherent as the night goes on.. I just can’t write a good paper under these conditions ahhhhh
it’s ok it’s ok I know it doesn’t have to be good it just has to be done but omg this is kind of terrifying if I finish this fucking paper it will be a fucking miracle I swear to god

Tomorrow is my third (and fucking FINAL) phd exam- this one is the most intense yet. I have to talk about ALL THREE of my fucking fields of study and basically like make a coherent argument about why I do what I do.
It’s gonna be terrifying but ONCE I AM DONE I get to ACTUALLY WRITE AGAIN and like BE A HUMAN! :D
