Whenever I see someone posting about starting a “consumer revolt” because some artist has a bad attitude, I just imagine them as a crying loyal customer from a Kelly cartoon

What #GamerGate feels like, to me at least.

Marvel fans, and particularly Spider-Man fans in particular, it's One More Day.  The most ridiculously out-of-character decision ever made by Peter Parker and his long-time confidant, Mary Jane Watson-Parker was bad enough, but the closest thing Marvel has to the FUCKING DEVIL mocks Spidey by showing him an illusion of himself as the eternally frustrated comic-collecting nerd stereotype.

Fandoms do not like to be told "this is our yard, you can't play here any more so pack up your nerd shit and fuck off", there's always room for new fans to join in all of our communities.
