Headcanon/drabble time: True Apex Predator Kha’Zix
So i’ve been thinking a lot, mostly about Leagues most intense and primal rivalry, that of Kha’Zix and Rengar. More importantly, what happens after that big final fight between the two and that, if the battle falls in Kha’Zix’s favor, what happens then? Heres what i think would happen...granted its a bit far fetched but HEY its late, brain juices are pumping so LETS GO.
------------------------------------------
The greatest hunter, gone without a trace and in the belly of a predator that can now run around unchecked, unhindered and at what it thought was the peak of its evolution, only to be opened to so much more. For the great beast that was Rengar, his strength, his speed, his instincts, all his knowledge, now dwelled within the very genetic make up of the Voidreaver. He could feel it flowing through him, reinvigorating him, his wounds sustained already closing and healing with the finest meal he’d ever tasted.
Yet... There was more. There was more power to hunt, to consume. And with Rengar, his greatest threat gone...
Nothing could stop him.
The last great hunters of the realm soon fell prey to the Voidreavers claws.
The Bloodhunter Warwick was carved cleanly in two before granting his strength to the victor. A fine feast, feral power surging within and his great senses heightening further still. With this, none could hide from him. None. The smallest drop of blood miles off smelt as if they were right nearby.
The huntress of the Kumungu jungles, the fierce and enchanting Nidalee, torn to pieces before she could react in an ambush from a beast she could not hope to have detected. Maybe if Kha’Zix had not fell Rengar she may have stood a chance but now? Now she was nothing more than a quick meal and with her consumption, greater strength flowed.
Soon afterwards key members of the human society suddenly vanished. The beloved Prince Jarvan IV, gone without a trace. Jericho Swain? Not even a single feather remained. Viktor. Gangplank. Sarah Fortune. Ashe, Tryndamere, Sejuani. One by one they all disappeared, and with each one gone, chaos followed from the bodies of the great city states and kingdoms removed of their heads. Yet with these meals, all this delicious prey.
It still was not enough.
Ancient ones soon caught on to the unseen threat that was slowly but surely tearing apart this world along with the increase in breaches in the thresholds between this world and the Void. But by then, it was too late.
The consumption of the Green Father came with incredible power, power beyond anything Kha’Zix had imagined. Pure, untouched, untainted magic now filled him and with it, even the very land began to bend to his will. No place was safe now. The predator who could adapt to anything now had command over the very ground it walked upon, turning its environment to benefit it and it alone. Yet this power, great as it was, was still not enough.
The Ascendents of Shurima followed suit. Their strength, mighty as it was, was not enough to stop the beast that hunted them as a cat did a mouse. Their bodies filled with untold power became the Voidreavers and with their great guardians gone, the sands became little more than a hunting grounds for Rek’Sai and her offspring and the tunnels crafted by them to the Void would grow unchecked.
The mighty aspects of Mount Targon became food for the nigh unstoppable beast that was Kha’Zix. Their bodies were ripped asunder and their very essence consumed. Soon the mountains once rendered impassable by the Artisan of War and Sun’s Aspect were overrun with the horrors that clawed their way down from the rips in reality at the mountains summit.
The Iceborn and, soon after the Watchers, became nothing more than fuel to the evolutionary fires of Kha’Zix. The frozen lands of the Freljord were little more than homes to cruel Voidborn creatures now as the only eyes that watched upon them were those filled with hunger.
Even the Darkin and Celestials in all their might were not enough to stop him, or the steady flow of Voidborn that surged through the cracks in reality like rushing water flowing down a mountain. The numbers were too great and the predator that had consumed so much power soon claimed their essence as its own. And with them....Nothing remained.
Upon the ruins of a dead world did the Apex Predator now stand, the power within him unmatched and without equal. Every beast Kha’Zix had set his sights upon had been bested and consumed to the last scrap. This hunting ground was no more and with no more prey upon this land now claimed by the Void, it was time to move on.
For the hunger never fades away, until all has been consumed by the Void.
