“Okay, so this is how it’s going to work,” Jack said with a grin, “Whoever loses the round has to do something for the winner. Whatever they want, okay? And if you ever back out, you have to do punishment.”
“Punishment?” Hiccup repeated, his cheeks bright red. Jack only nodded, a wicked grin on his face.
“That’s right,” He said with a chuckle, “Punishment. I won’t tell you what it is unless you give up, though, okay?”
“Okay…” Hiccup replied, frowning at that. With the rules set, Jack set up the game, and soon, Mario Kart 8 was displayed on their screen. Jack easily navigated the menu screen, having played it many times before, and soon, they were choosing their characters. Jack chose Toad, while Hiccup selected Luigi, much to Jack’s amusement.
“Really? Luigi?” He joked, getting ready to race as the numbers counted down from three.
“I just like his bitch face when you pass someone,” Hiccup said with a smile, and Jack blinked and looked at him with a frown.
“What? I thought you said you never played this game before…” He asked, getting a grin from his boyfriend.
“I might have… been mistaken.” Hiccup said happily, and Jack felt his stomach drop. He knew that Hiccup was good at any game if he was given time to try it first, and he thought he had gotten the jump on him by selecting a game he thought the other didn’t play, but with this development… well, there was no way he would win.
“Can you just let me win one, at least?” Jack begged, getting a delighted grin from Hiccup.
“Maybe… I mean, you always have the punishment to fall back on…” He said with a wink, and Jack felt his stomach churn.
