Behind a cut because I'm running on very little sleep and allergies are clogging my senses like a thick London fog.
And no one wants my babbling clogging up their dash.

Alright. House series finale. Where on earth should I begin?
Well, it started off with me feeling so anxious that I was sick to my stomach and twitchy for the entire behind the scenes special.
'Swan Song' was amazing. I love behind the scenes stuff like that. It gives me hope that someday I'll land an amazing job and be part of a fantastic family-like crew. It also gives me an opportunity to geek out over techie stuff. I thought it was brilliant seeing how everyone worked together and how they shared personal stories of their time on the show.
Also, Robert and Hugh's paintball battle had me in tears (both of laugher and bitter sweet sadness). The final photo montage really got me going though.
So then the actual episode began. It was another mindfuck episode...and of course, those are always tricky to watch. However, once I understood how the jumps between the two story lines fit, it was much easier.
I rather liked the hallucinations and how each one really tied things up with the various themes of the show, especially in recent episodes. Cameron is the one that really got me though...the whole: You've suffered enough, why not think of it as a release? speech. Yowza. That was the one that really had me thinking that he was a goner.
Then of course, I was in complete and utter worry over him being killed before Wilson and him had a chance to end on a better note. And OF COURSE Wilson had to be there to see the beam falling in the burning building.
His face...him sitting there in the blanket. I was beyond crying at that point...I just kind of sat there, numb, as Foreman came out and announced that the coroner confirmed it was House.
Then came the funeral scene. Each person got up, sharing their stories, and I'd tear up a bit more each time. (I mean no disrespect with this next bit) I was SO nervous that Cuddy was going to get up and talk. I would have been really severely pissed too. I mean, they ended on really horrible terms. If she had showed up and talked about him in the way everyone else was I would have flipped a table.
Then Wilson got up. I let out a moan and prepared myself. The first thing I noticed, was how prepared and rehearsed his speech sounded. Then, when he went off on his tangent about House being an ass...I cried even harder. Because, (this was me being a horrid sod) I thought, this is what House would probably have wanted...he wouldn't want people up there sugar coating things...he'd probably be smiling at Wilson had he known what he was saying and...
JESUS CHRIST THAT'S WILSON'S PHONE! WHAT IF IT'S A LATE SENT TEXT MESSAGE FROM HOUSE'S PHONE SAYING 'I LOVE YOU'? IF IT IS I'LL KILL MYSELF OH MY GOD WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!??!
Wilson: *opens phone* 'SHUT UP YOU IDIOT'
Me: *thrashes in the chair as though she's been electrocuted*
This next bit had me screaming. It really did. HOUSE FAKED HIS OWN DEATH TO SPEND TIME WITH WILSON.
I really...I just...they pulled a Reichenbach.
The ending then, with all the nice little wrap-ups of the characters had me sniffling all over again...
But then they got to House and Wilson on the bridge with the motorbikes and the LOOKS they were giving each other, and "Cancer's boring", and the song...
And they legitimately rode off into the sunset (kind of, it wasn't techically a sunset though) together.
I JOKED ABOUT THAT. I made that joke when I first heard that the series was ending. My god.
I just...I was beside myself.
But in the end, I was really happy that he gets to spend the time with Wilson. I was also happy that they left the ending open and didn't actually have Wilson die (I don't think I'd survive).
It's been a great 6 years that I've been watching the show. From my anatomy teacher introducing me to it in 11th grade, to playing catch up with re-runs, and to watching the last few seasons with my family, it's been an amazing run.
