once, an orsini girl had a clandestine affair with a colonna boy. the colonnas are amongst the borgia allies and are fierce rivals with the orsinis. but the colonna boy turns out to be spying for the borgias and manipulated the orsini girl's naive infatuation. upon hearing about the affair, margherita quickly steps in, helped her niece see the truth and quietly sent the girl to ward at the schiaparelli house. the girl recovered from heartbreak and soon got happily married into the contarini family. and the orsini lady and the contarini gentleman later produced lorenzo and gratiano contarini from merchant of venice.

So yeah Lorenzo and Gratiano are amongst nephews of Desdemona
