Since Tumblr tossed my last post into the shadow realm ig I'll say it AGAIN

Hi hello everyone this is my usual once in a blue moon check in to let you know Im not dead and very much still active art wise

I've got a REALLY big art review coming up next week in school and I've been working all semester trying to make some good works to submit for it

And as a treat here's a few of those

Once the review is over (and I hopefully pass) I can do a but more commissions and personal projects on my own time

But thats a bit uncertain since I HAVE A NEW KITTEN

Her Name is Maupin and she is my everything

She's only about 6 weeks old so she still needs a lot of constant care but I'm more than happy to provide it!

Right now my main goal is to save up for a new art tablet (because mine is old and ive become spoiled having a screen to draw on) so hopefully I can use my fancy softwarea to start making some fun animations!

But yeah! There's my little check in!

In the light of my previous posts, here was my final project I had in my drawing art class! It is a multimedia work combing things we used throughout the semester - hatching, realism, texture, and blending.

I used charcoal, colored pencil, graphite pencil, conte sticks, and blue paper for the base of it all. I built my own still life at home with random bottles, jars, and of course my vintage style wingtip shoes!

Life drawings #7

The ones on the left were done with sketching pencils, I’m most happy with the top one, while the ones on the right were done with my new conte crayons. I’m still very new at using them and need more time to improve.

Anyone know if places like Staples or Target or something will have conte pencils?

Or do I have to go to Michael's or Perl?
