I had that dream again
Currently reading A Little Life and I am 80% finished, and it is definitely not the saddest book. I think the most depressing novel would be a lot more than just stating very horrific things that happened. The only thing the author does is not allow things to be good, and once you realise that, you come to expect it and nothing shocks you past a certain point. It doesn’t upset you, rather just you feel sympathy for the characters and are happy you got to know them.
Basically, Yanagihara just wrote a sequence of very disturbing events and then thought, “how can I make this worse?”

Currently my right hand is not usable, which means I had to get creative with ways to do art! Physically couldn’t stand not making things. So I have been doing acrylic finger paints with my left hand. It’s been a lot of fun! Working on an illustration currently, but these will all be more abstract than my normal. Hoping to get back to my watercolors, but I’ll have to do fewer. It takes a lot of dexterity to do my normal paintings, and it’s having increasing ware on my body
