[ text ]: I woke up to a half empty bottle of cider on my dresser. I drank it and have no regrets. Morning. @ From Sarah
❝30 texts to send to my muse:❞ | Sentence Starter
The message was strange for several reasons.
Firstly because it seemed quite personal in nature and he primarily used his phone for the purpose of business. Surely the average person wasn’t in the habit of telling just anyone that they were drinking so early (let alone wish them good morning). The chances that it was from a client in relation to a deal or property were slim to none.
Secondly he wasn’t aware that any of his few close acquaintances were in the habit of drinking cider whilst they were rolling out of bed. If the habit existed among them and he was simply unaware that might be something. Only Jumin was certain that wasn’t the case because there was proof in front of him that this person wasn’t from the RFA.
He didn’t recognize the number at all.
Another person might have catered to their curiosity and replied but Jumin preferred to busy his hands with the silk tails of his tie. His personal grooming and the morning meeting he was due to attend mattered far more than this presumably incorrectly-sent text. Whoever was responsible for it would likely realize their mistake when they sobered up, contact the person they meant to and move on with their lives.
At least that was the logical conclusion.
"Bakugou, you've always struck me as an ass man." - Denki
꒰ unprompted asks ┆ always accepting ꒱
"HAH?" katsuki asks, loudly and with a an over-the-top tilt of his head. what the fuck kind of question... WHY was denki even thinking about that? scratch that, katsuki doesn't want to know why denki's contemplating what attributes katsuki likes.
"what the FUCK are you talking about? i'm not an anything guy. mind your goddamn business and stop thinking about weird shit. i don't think about that crap."
"What if pizza could be a hero? Dude imagine, Pizza-Man, saving the world one slice at a time!" - Denki
꒰ unprompted asks ┆ always accepting ꒱
"yeah, and what if the world was made of pudding?"
"y'know, despite knowing you're the biggest dumbass in our class, you still never fail to impress me with just how much of an idiot you are. pizza-man would get eaten. he's made of fucking pizza."
"Hey, Bakugou, can I ask you something? I kinda need some advice… about, uh, I'm going on a date. You're like the last person I'd ask, but you’ve somehow gotten pretty popular lately, with girls, I mean. So, uh... You got any tips to keep a girl interested?" - Denki
꒰ unprompted asks ┆ always accepting ꒱
katsuki stares blankly at denki for a few moments, almost as if he'll somehow be able to glare hard enough that the other might shut his mouth. he already knew that katsuki had 0 clue about anything to do with girls. it was like asking a a dog to solve calculus problems.
"hell if i know. i don't even want their attention. i can shout and threaten to blow their shit up and those freaks like that shit. anyway, whoever this poor woman that agreed to date you is, though, likes you as you are. just be your regular dumbass self and it'll work out, yeah?" katsuki asks. he's impressed with his own level of working that out, but it's only the obvious answer. he can't imagine someone would agree to a date with him if they didn't find him endearing. denki's a cool guy when he's not trying to be cool. he's funny, and while he's certainly not katsuki's type, katsuki isn't blind either and recognizes his friend as a good looking guy.
"so, who's the poor chick with the shitty taste?"
"Liking the view?" - Denki (You know what view he's talking about Milk!)
꒰ unprompted asks ┆ always accepting ꒱
denki's voice pulls katsuki out of what almost felt like a trance. immediately, his face flushes not in anger, but in embarrassment because he'd gotten caught. surely denki didn't actually catch him, right? he must be talking about how the evening sky looks, and not how katsuki made some... evidently not-so-secret glances at a certain nerd's rear end.
"uh — yeah. the sky looks cool 'n shit," he mutters awkwardly, and it feels so painfully obvious. there's no way denki didn't notice. he wouldn't have said shit otherwise, right? when he gets the chance, he takes a mental note to threaten to blow denki's head clean off if he even thinks about telling anyone else in their class. thankfully, no one seemed to notice the terse conversation between them.
"Dude, do you, like, ever smile? Or is your face totally stuck in 'I'm gonna kill you' mode forever?" - Denki
꒰ unprompted asks ┆ always accepting ꒱
"the fuck are you talking about, dumbass? i smile all the god damn time. you need your eyes checked?" katsuki speaks with an annoyed scowl, walking beside his fellow blond-haired friend. trust the fucker to always ruin the peaceful silence when katsuki's thinking that maybe he isn't so irritating.
(for some reason, he likes surrounding himself with annoying people.)
"see. look. i'm smiling right now." he's technically correct.
"I don't get it. Why me?" Saeran said. Genuine confusion put a crease between his brows. "Why do you want to be friends with me?"
Yoosung hesitated for a moment, partly to deliberate his answer but also due to wariness of the other’s expression. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t find the younger Choi intimidating, and the resolute expression he wore was his saving grace. After the few interactions the two had, he learned not to be so obvious with his emotions. There was a delicate balance between strength and vulnerability that needed to be preserved that admittedly put him on edge, but at the same time Yoosung was patient and understanding. He knew extremely little of Saeran’s past and what he had gone through, yet he didn’t mind. Truth be told, something within him simply wanted to be there for him.
“I don’t think people really need reasons to want to be friends with others. Sometimes good friendships come from acting without really thinking... but if I had to give any reason it would be because you’re the brother of my best friend. He cares about you a lot and wants you to be apart of our group. Of course Seven- I mean, Saeyoung isn’t the only reason, y’know. Making friends can be really hard. Someone has to be the one to make the first move.” Yoosung pauses briefly before finishing his thought, unsure how satisfied the other was with his reply thus far. “I guess I see myself in you when I see you isolating yourself, to be honest. Sure, it’s easier than dealing with other people but it gets pretty lonely. I thought maybe if I tried we could get along. Not just for Saeyoung’s sake, but for the sake of making a friend.”
