@jusikoesa-blog
STOP.
jumin time.
i logged in and there a dead ho in my inbox----
i’m here today i’m working on my drafts but if you need anything my asks and IMs are open!
Sneaks up behind him before wrapping his arms around him and putting his chin on Jumin's broad shoulder
Work had kept the company heir in the office for longer than he’d intended when his day had began. A critical junction was to blame; contracts had to be read and signed, lawyers consulted, numbers crunched. Many departments were hard at work compiling detailed summaries for his final review. While the deadline came nearer and nearer it was imperative that every crease be ironed out to perfection under his watchful eye.
He was so focused that he hadn’t even noticed someone else had come into the room. Nor did he register the sound of their familiar soft tread as they crossed from the door they closed behind them to his laden desk.
He stood up to stretch his legs while he was reading. Then it happened.
The touch of another person was something Jumin often yearned for and yet felt averse to (especially when it was offered to him too freely). Yet the arms that wound their way around him now elicited no such repulsion. His stomach was left comfortably empty for his surprise had settled in his chest instead. There it flurried in keeping with the beat of his heart, something Jihyun was near enough to notice if he felt so inclined to feel for the gentle drum.
❛ YOU STARTLED me… I thought you were at home. ❜
Jumin lowered the papers in his hand so that he could instead find purchase on Jihyun’s forearm. It was the least possible return he had to offer the embrace without turning and yet he didn’t feel as though his gesture was small at all. Holding onto Jihyun’s wrist (feeling the gentle warmth he radiated against his cheek and back) made him want to hold onto the moment as tenderly as he had.
To suddenly round on his heel and scoop and squeeze would have spoiled the earnest serenity he was so dearly in need of after these endlessly exhausting hours.
He smiled at him.
❛ WERE YOU feeling lonely? ❜
mister han what is your relationship with sarah choi?
❛ Sarah Choi…? I don’t know her. ❜
He hasn’t had enough wine to participate in this discussion. Also for some reason he’s had a headache since he received that anonymous text.
[text] I cooked some noodles for myself today but I made them too spicy ;;; my mouth is burning

Although it didn’t sound as though Jihyun were seriously hurt the content of the message troubled him. By the time he had read it over a culmination of feelings stirred within the web that nursed and stifled them. He couldn’t decipher frustration from guilt (let alone determine the appropriateness of the emotions) but he did know that this upset was uncomfortable.
It made him want to get up from his chair and check on Jihyun even though he knew he couldn’t.
It made him think twice about his decision to leave the penthouse and go to work that morning.
This wouldn’t have happened if he’d stayed home to protect him.
A few agonizing minutes passed in which Jumin debating the manner in which he should reply. He was against expressing these protective, if not possessive, thoughts to the person that had recently told him he was over reacting to every little thing. Not because he didn’t think he wouldn’t be listened to but because Jumin trusted in what his oldest friend had to say.
He knew (even without being told) that the way he was behaving was unhealthy. At the same time he couldn’t help wanting to spare Jihyun from even the smallest inconveniences whenever he reflected on how much suffering his soulmate had endured. Even now, beneath the layers of logic, his hands were so firm around his phone that his knuckles had turned white.
Try to take it easy.
Although he wrote that for Jihyun to receive the message was just as much for himself.
I’ll send you something soothing.
True to his word not long after he had sent his replies Jumin placed several calls to his penthouse staff to set necessary events in motion. He set his phone aside and attempted to refocus on his work. The sooner he finished the sooner he could return to Jihyun’s side and ensure he was recovering properly.
[ text ]: I woke up to a half empty bottle of cider on my dresser. I drank it and have no regrets. Morning. @ From Sarah

The message was strange for several reasons.
Firstly because it seemed quite personal in nature and he primarily used his phone for the purpose of business. Surely the average person wasn’t in the habit of telling just anyone that they were drinking so early (let alone wish them good morning). The chances that it was from a client in relation to a deal or property were slim to none.
Secondly he wasn’t aware that any of his few close acquaintances were in the habit of drinking cider whilst they were rolling out of bed. If the habit existed among them and he was simply unaware that might be something. Only Jumin was certain that wasn’t the case because there was proof in front of him that this person wasn’t from the RFA.
He didn’t recognize the number at all.
Another person might have catered to their curiosity and replied but Jumin preferred to busy his hands with the silk tails of his tie. His personal grooming and the morning meeting he was due to attend mattered far more than this presumably incorrectly-sent text. Whoever was responsible for it would likely realize their mistake when they sobered up, contact the person they meant to and move on with their lives.
At least that was the logical conclusion.
my inbox is full of cute text messages from that meme and i’m crying
but also screaming BECAUSE SOMEONE SENT ONE FROM SARAH CHOI
