TSS Remake Potential Future Content Poll
The title is a bit of a mouthful lmao but I wasn't sure what to name this.
I've been thinking more about the future content of TSS. I have an outline written, but things develop as I write and the outline is more of a guide to refer to from which the plot can grow. It's very barebones and most of the actual content itself develops as I write.
Although I never put TSS into a certain age category, I've been considering it more since getting asked about future NSFW scenes and content.
I've been talking about the tone changing somewhat with the remake, but I've now gotten to the point where I've started thinking more about what sort of content I want to include in future chapters.
I've sort of been tiptoeing around it a little bit since getting back into things, unsure of what I can include in a game published through COG (I really need to read up on that and refresh my memory) and what people might be interested in. If this was a game that was created from scratch I wouldn't be making a poll like this. But I'm aware that many of you loved the original version and that some might not like the idea of things changing in this direction.
I want to make a version I'm satisfied with, but I also want those of you who have supported me for years and any potentially new people here to feel okay with the way the story is going. The original had depictions of death, but was otherwise not very dark in tone.
This is NOT going to be done at the expense of humor, just to be clear. Character interactions, development and relationships is and always will be at the core of the story, and while I'm more conscious of how I depict certain things now than I was back then, character moments won't be sacrificed in order to make things more serious all the time. But it might mean including more mature themes for the sake of characterization, plot progression and character development. Ideally I'd want a good balance to be struck between lighter and darker moments.
To make things less vague, examples of adult/mature themes are: depictions of mental health/mental illness, sexual content, abuse, trauma etc.
Thoughts about more NSFW and adult themes in the TSS remake?
I'm all for it.
I wouldn't enjoy that.
