Some Thoughts: This is probably has my favorite iteration of Jaskier that I've yet to see in fanfiction, for some strange reason. He's just so likable in this fanfic, and every single time a side character or Geralt comments about how pretty he is, I’m like “same.” That’s a fricking mood. Speaking of Geralt, he is so disaster bi in this fanfic, it’s hilarious. Actually, nearly every single part of this fic is hilarious. I was choking with laughter while reading it, and sending screenshots of the really funny parts to my friend as I read it because I couldn’t help myself. It was just that funny. It was Christmas Eve morning and I was dying. Thank you for making my morning very nice.
However, I also really adored how small the scope of this fanfic is. It gave an unexpected charm to the fic that I was not anticipating in the slightest. There aren’t as many fanfics that center only on the progression of one contract adventure, but so far this does and that just makes it more entertaining. We get to just hunker down and listen to Geralt be gay for 37k+ words with some post Rare Species angst sprinkled in, and honestly, what more do you want from that?
