whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy do i always just.... stop. writing when i get to 2000 words? just consistently, all of my abandoned works in progress are abandoned at around 2k words

reading through one of my wip documents & i’ve used the phrase “once, twice” 3 separate times in 3 separate fics:

“... the guard looks between the two of them once, twice, before clearing their throat...”

“He blinked once, twice; swallowed and then gave Ted a half-smile.”

“[he] shakes his head once, twice, as though with enough force the words will shake loose and fall out.”

wrote 350 words tonight after like, two straight weeks of nothing, so that’s nice i guess. productive day in general, even though i didn’t get, like, any of the things i planned to do done lmao

i haven’t been posting daily updates but i am 1734 words into a new fic that i’ve only been able to work on in little snippets in class so......... win some you lose some lads
