i don’t normally read up on drama but i’d been thinking about the snippets i’ve read about controversial drs and I Don’t Know when did it become so hard to just be a decent human? i don’t think it matters if it’s satirical or rage baiting, it still causes harm. shift wherever you want I Can’t Control You. but if you can’t abide by basic morality then at least try to find it in yourself to respect others by not sharing these twisted fantasies of yours. Though if someone is shifting to hurt people, then i suppose it’s silly to expect them not to hurt people in this reality.
I wanted to make a post explaining why people were so upset about the “controversial” DR woman on here.
Some people (not a lot) seem to not understand why we were so disgusted with her.
And this post is also about what I think is morally okay when it comes to shifting.
I will be speaking from my own opinion. But I believe that a lot of people believe very similarly to myself on this. And I will be covering a few different things as to make a broader point.
(This is from the prospective of a multiverse theory shifter.)
Even though we all exist in infinite or nearing infinite realities you still pick where you want to shift to in your CR.
You still pick your DRs. You make your script. You set your intention.
You nurture your intentions before, during, and even after shifting.
Let us not forget what "DR" stands for. Desired reality. It's a reality you desire in your CR. So your DRs do reflect your CR self's desires.
This is why people (me being in people) have a problem with people shifting for under age / animal s/os.
Say if you are 22 in your CR and age yourself down in your DR to be 16. It's still not okay for you to be shifting it for a 15 or 16 year old.
Why? Because you desire to be with that 16 year old in your CR. In your CR where you are a 22 year old. That's not okay. That's not a mentally healthy thought.
Same thing as if you are shifting to Warrior Cats. (Or an animal based reality like that.)
Okay. So killing people in your DR.
Lots of people kill a in their DRs. If you are a superhero, jedi, elven warrior, demigod, etc. you are probably killing in your DRs.
And that's okay. It's okay to want to be a hero. That's an okay desire to have. And sometimes heroes kill.
What's not okay is killing for the love of the game. Or killing in an unnecessarily cruel way.
That's not a normal, mentally healthy, or okay desire to have.
The people in your DR are real and full human beings. Wanting to harm them for fun is not okay.
