"When a subject is highly controversial . . . one cannot hope to tell the truth. One can only show how one came to hold whatever opinion one does hold. One can only give one’s audience the chance of drawing their own conclusions as they observe the limitations, the prejudices, the idiosyncrasies of the speaker."
Virginia Woolf (1882–1941), British novelist. A Room of One’s Own, ch. 1 (1929).
Okay I'm just gonna straight up say I agree with her.... To an extent I'm, I dunno, upper middle class I suppose? I wouldn't say money's easy but we're respectable.. And we've really rich friends and really poor friends and blah blah blah perspective blah blah blah Anyways she's right to an extent, certain names sounds dodgy and can give you an idea of what a person MIGHT be like However judging a person, especially a child based on their name, which they didn't choose, is fucking retarded Not every Chantelle is going to be a scumbag, nor every Chardonnay, but names like those give off a bad vibe But then again you can have Jeffreys and Elizabeths who are utter scum even though they have a posh sounding name She's right to an extent but waaaaay too extreme and narrow minded
