★ — Minsoo & Coco ( @ofpearlsxgods )
Coco and Minsoo had an argument and when she stormed off, he figured that she'd go to her room and lock herself in there until things would calm down but to his surprise, she only went into her room for a short moment then returned, threw another glare his way before she stormed out of the house. Usually, he would've gone after her immediately but being upset himself, he decided against it and figured it would be a good thing for them to be apart for at least a little while.
A little later, heaving a sigh, Minsoo walked into his bedroom and changed from his indoor clothes into something a little more presentable to wear outside before leaving the apartment as well. He needed to clear his head and where better to go than on a boat out on the ocean with nothing in sight but water.
Since he was free to use the boat that belonged to the institute that ran the laboratory he was working in, he just quickly stopped by to grab the keys as well as his diving equipment just in case he'd want to go for a dive. Bumping into one of his colleagues, he explained what he had planned except for mentioning the fight with Coco and him wanting to be by himself for a while being the reason for his trip out to sea.
Thankfully, the lab wasn't too far from the docks and only a little while later, he was ready to head out. The weather seemed calm so he started the engine and headed off.
Things were going smoothly and Minsoo soon had left the docks behind him and entered open water with nothing but water nearby and the city only barely visible with the naked eye.
After turning off the engine, Minsoo made sure the boat was secured before he sat down in the back and dangled his feet into the water after taking off his shoes and socks as well as rolling up his jeans so they wouldn't get completely soaked. It was quite cold but he didn't mind as he was pretty much used to it.
Taking a deep breath, Minsoo laid back and closed his eyes, focusing on nothing but the sound of the wind and waves, and without realizing it, he dozed off.
The wind started to pick up and thunder rumbled in the distance but close enough to stir Minsoo awake from his nap. It took him a moment before he realized that there was a storm rolling in but he figured, he'd have enough time to get back to the harbor without getting caught in it. However, he was wrong.
The clouds got thicker and darker much more quickly than he anticipated and the sea became more and more troubled, waves crashing against the side of the boat, lightning flashing across the sky followed by thunder cracking through the air.
He started the boat and put it in full speed to get back to the harbor as quickly as possible. Of course, he had been in situations like this before but he was never by himself and even if he didn't like to admit it, he was scared.
Halfway through his journey, the engine suddenly started to hiccup before it died down and the boat came to a stop but was still tossed around by the waves that got bigger and bigger. He wasn't sure what the issue was but he somehow had to figure it out and fix it or he'd be in deep trouble, not only because of the storm but his boss would also be pissed if he'd have to buy a new boat for the lab team to use.
Stepping outside, he looked around and walked to the back where the engine was. Opening the flap, he kneeled to take a closer look, and just as he was about to reach in to check the connection, the boat was struck by a wave which knocked him off balance and made him slide to one side, hitting his shoulder against the railing.
As he was trying to get up, another wave struck the boat, and having been caught completely off guard, Minsoo got knocked over the railing and into the water which immediately sucked him under as a wave grabbed a hold of him.
