I was busy making lunch for my eight year old when I realized the house was too quiet. Like all toddler moms I dropped the sandwich making to find the baby. Quiet=Mischief. I called, "Molly," but there was no answer. I checked the bathroom, I asked Hank, "have you seen your sister?" And he joined the search only to whisper-call, "Mama, she's in here." And then it all fell into place. She had used the chair I pulled into my bedroom to entertain her while I got dressed this morning to climb up on my bed. Then she wrapped her arms around her Pai's (dad's) tshirt and fell asleep. This is it. This is what life is about: love. Louis Aragon said, "Love is your last chance.
