《 ★ rkjoohyvn 》 the most cliche of cliche lines, also the most cringe, but yixing feels perfectly comfortable saying it when he reaches her, “fancy meeting you here.” yes, running into her backstage at one of the many end-of-the-year shows their groups has been invited to is fancy, totally unpredictable. yixing would laugh at himself if he could, but he says everything in situations like this with the utmost confidence, the well-practice, feigned carefree tone as he grins. “i should say congratulations too on eclipse’s awards. i should say, on your award too,” because now that he knows how and why she was at the wonderland party for idols, he can say that with ease. 

it had taken him a while after halloween to put it together but how else could she have ended up there? but he understands it’s difficult to say when it’s meant to be a secret, that’s what he guessed anyway. now he can ask her this too, out of genuine concern, for a friend of a friend, and also, hopefully, his own friend too. “how are you adjusting? you seem born to be on a stage. is it rude to say i’m impressed? you were good on the mgas but this is... aa, it’s so different seeing you as an eclipse member.” and so close to his ex that they must live together now.

jihoon was obsessed with seungcheol and his hair. he is more than positive his best friend had never gone this far with his hair, unlike jihoon himself who has had every single colour of the rainbow in his hair. “you look so handsome.” he keeps saying, every single time his eyes catch a glimpse of the rapper and he means it with every single cell in his being. seungcheol just needed to see it for himself.

tonight they were both in one of the dance studios in sphere, learning the iconic choreography to candy and jihoon dreaded the moment that stage would come to live. however, he had seungcheol’s head resting on his lap and his fingers going through the freshly bleached silver locks. it was a nice way to relax and get his mind of the stage. “you know.. you should have listened to me when i told you, that you would look amazing with light hair.” jihoon pauses, looking down at his best friend before speaking again “and no, brown isn’t light hair, cheol.”

he remembers it suddenly, a thoughtful expression crossing his face as he tugs a headphone out of his ear. furrowing his brow, his lips purse before he's shifting to sit up. woohyun twists around, looking to taeyong sitting on the couch above him. "taeyong-ah, didn't our weekly idol visit air today?" he questions, reaching out for his phone to do some additional sleuthing. "i think...it was said to be today. right?"

humming, he scrolls through his phone and types the necessary words into the search bar. "should we watch it together if it is?" he muses, head tilting to the side, before looking back up at taeyong. "would it be awkward?" he asks genuinely. "sometimes it feels weird to watch it back." or the editing isn't very flattering or there's not enough of you, or so on and so forth. doesn't know if he wants to sit through that without more preparation for it.

like a cat is definitely his favorite luxe album yet. not everyone knows how hard sehun can fanboy, specially when given a chance, and knowing they'll be promoting along with luxe, it was a little harder to keep his fanboy self in check. he had been able to buy his own set of album, and he had been excited to bring them over. as soon as he's got free time, he goes out in pursuit and in hopes having his collection signed.

"noona!" he chirps, a bright grin on his face. "hello! it's been forever! how are you?" he greets, not forgetting to be as polite as possible. there are a lot of eyes backstage. but it's also been so long since they last saw each other, so he can't help but be a littlr too excited. they've been so busy with their own schedules these days, promotions left and right as well as the constant practice. he's happy and that luxe is doing amazingly, though. it makes him proud. he'll brag about his seolhyun noona is a member of luxe, and that he may or may not be her biggest fan.

to say that this year was going to end differently than the last one was an understatement in jihoon’s opinion. he doesn’t think he can even recall having such a busy schedule, so much to do, so many different thing but on top of that... he had a drum solo. it was definitely something he didn’t expect to happen to him anytime soon. he doesn’t think he deserves it, but at the same time, he was too excited to let that thought get to him.

“you excited about all the dances we have to learn?“ jihoon asks, taking off his cap and pushing his hair back, ignoring how wet it was from swat and quickly puts the cap back on. there was so much to do, and it was a lie if he ever said he wasn’t excited. “i can’t say i’m a huge fan of the candy stage, i will have to sing, but we have some really cool ass dances we get to do on other stages!“ he says, obvious excitement in his voice as he looks up at sehun.

woohyun wishes he had more creativity to him. wishes he could conjure up a tune in his head that could be a song, figure out words that sound pretty and enticing enough to be used as lyrics; woohyun wishes he could do more for the creative aspect of their group-- wishes he was more like jinwook or yixing or any of the other members that could create some sort of musical piece, because woohyun surely couldn't.

he listens to campfire a lot, having known jinwook worked on it as well. he's proud of the younger for it, so happy to hear his work and woohyun likes the song a lot; it's definitely become one of the most played due to his sheer appreciation for his fellow vocal unit member, no exaggeration. and he isn't quiet about it, not one bit.

"jinwook-ah," he calls out in the afternoon, after a tired rehearsal and long hours sitting in the stylist's chair. "don't tell anyone, but campfire might be my favorite song from the album." there's a large grin on his face, and he's not at all subtle or really quiet about it, but it's fine; because the point is to shower jinwook with appreciation and happiness for his proud work. "teach me how to make something as good as that too~"

he's going over the pages of his script carefully, mouthing the words to himself as he attempts to memorize his lines and the cue scenes around it. he's spent a lot of his free time focusing on it, as well as preparing for their stages at the end of the year shows-- and keeping up with promotions. woohyun feels like he's always doing something, which he doesn't mind at all, for once.

he's turning the page over when sehun moves into the living room, and woohyun beams at the other. one hand leaving the script, he waves sehun over to him, patting the free space on the couch next to him. "sehun-ah~~ come sit with hyung! i've been practicing all day." there's a small whine in his voice, the childish bit of him coming out around their youngest member. "how are you feeling? keeping up with this busy, busy month?" he asks, tilting his head to the side-- genuinely curious.
