Haseul really did think she was alone in the dorm, or she had been the last time she had noticed, anyway, so she decided to take that time and reach out to her family to catch up as she really hadn’t had much of a chance to do so lately.  The first and only call that shemade was to her older brother, she hadn’t seen him in a while and she wondered where he might actually be.  Come to find out, he was over in Busan for the day meeting with a client, but he was all done for the day.  “Hey do you have grandma’s address?” he asked her, “I’d ask mom and dad, but you know they’d say I should have it and this is easier.” “Oh yeah, just a sec, I’m going to put you on speaker phone, but it’s just me here. I’ll get it from my desk,” she said, leaving her phone on the bed, going over to get her address book and coming back to lay on her bed again, going through the pages.  “Hmm... where is it...?” she muttered, flipping through pages.

“ So what’s up with you lately anyway? You getting enough rest?” he asked, filling time while she looked it up. 

“Yeah, I’m doing alright!  Practice is tough, but I’m sleeping enough, and no, before you ask, not too much,” she laughed. “Ah, I think I found it...” she heard the door to the bedroom open up just as she found the address, seeing Joohyun come in. She waved to her roommate and attempted to take her phone off of speaker, but as usual, her and technology don’t always mix.

“So you find yourself a girlfriend yet?  I know, I know, no dating, but c’mon there’s lots of pretty girls in that company of yours, or even other idols?  There’s got to be some girl out there you like.“

Haseul froze in fear as she know there was zero way that Joohyun hadn’t overheard him on speakerphone. “O-Oppa... I’ll... um.. I’ll  text you grandma’s address in a bit. I gotta go, okay?”  she might not have been able to figure out how to take it off speakerphone, but she at least knew the big hang up button.  She quickly pressed it and looked over at her roommate.  “H-Hey... um...” she really wasn’t sure what to say or do.

          she happened to have a photoshoot the day of, a day of rest from filming turned into another opportunity and she’s thrilled, of course, she is, but originally she thought she’d have a moment to spend with the girls to celebrate the newest’s member’s first birthday with them. still, the shoot is fun and she has plenty of gifts from the brand itself to bring home to everyone. time is quickly escaping her and she’s grateful that she’ll at least make it back before midnight compared to filming days. 

          maybe it’s a cheesy gift but ariel couldn’t think of much else. it was just cute and she couldn’t resist, everything falling into place, a pattern she couldn’t help following. the sweater is similar to a design she’d seen before but she specifically wanted it to be pink, the lettering just barely a few shades darker. there’s the addition of an embroidered heart on the left sleeve and a j in white atop the heart, exactly what she asked for. while she’d yet to learn things she knew about the other girls so easily, information readily available in the catalogs of her memory, slightly sweet should be safe, right? one of her favorite types of honey cake and a candle waiting in one of the bags she carried with her, texting joohyun once they’d reached the dorm to meet her outside and take a walk like the first time they spoke, when joohyun was still but a trainee she’d yet to get to know.

《 ★ rkjoohyvn 》 the most cliche of cliche lines, also the most cringe, but yixing feels perfectly comfortable saying it when he reaches her, “fancy meeting you here.” yes, running into her backstage at one of the many end-of-the-year shows their groups has been invited to is fancy, totally unpredictable. yixing would laugh at himself if he could, but he says everything in situations like this with the utmost confidence, the well-practice, feigned carefree tone as he grins. “i should say congratulations too on eclipse’s awards. i should say, on your award too,” because now that he knows how and why she was at the wonderland party for idols, he can say that with ease. 

it had taken him a while after halloween to put it together but how else could she have ended up there? but he understands it’s difficult to say when it’s meant to be a secret, that’s what he guessed anyway. now he can ask her this too, out of genuine concern, for a friend of a friend, and also, hopefully, his own friend too. “how are you adjusting? you seem born to be on a stage. is it rude to say i’m impressed? you were good on the mgas but this is... aa, it’s so different seeing you as an eclipse member.” and so close to his ex that they must live together now.

     “oh my gosh, is that who i think it is?” as comical as she may look, nayeon doesn’t let up in the slightest as she speaks, voice light, an unmistakable playful lilt to her words. hands covering her cheeks in mock surprise, her brows shoot up high, eyes widening with each second that passed. “ah, it is— it’s eclipses’ joohyun!”

     had the setting not been one of the many practice rooms scattered around the kt building, on the streets somewhere, nayeon would never have yelled something so comically and freely. however, in the safety and seclusion of their company building, a little playful attitude was more than okay. besides, despite how little the two of them were able to interact now, what with joohyun’s schedules as an idol anytime eclipse was set to promote, nayeon has always found what little time they did have enjoyable.

     breaking out into a joyful grin, nayeon finally drops the shocked fan act, opting to walk closer so she won’t have to yell across the room any more than she already has. “i know i’m a little late, but did you have fun during navillera promotions? i made sure to tune into them as much as i could— you all were great!”

someone had told him that as soon as he thought that babies were cute and adorable, he had reached the age of marriage. it was not like he hadn't thought about that topic before, just a little longer and he would reach his thirties after all. but at the moment he was focusing on his dream, and his music, so there was no space for big family planning, especially not when he didn't even have a special someone to plan a future with. so as long as couldn't have kids on his own, he loved every moment he could spent with his cute little niece eun chae. she was a bubbly little angel who squealed everytime gray played on her toy piano.

due to the daily training at kt or seocho though, there wasn't much time to see her which was why her mother, gray's cousin had agreed to meet up with him in front of the kt building so that sweet little eun chae could play with her uncle. so when training was over, the male hurriedly packed his stuff to wait outside. with little waves and a bright smile he greeted his niece as soon as he saw her running from afar. little steps could be heard on the concrete, when she approached him joyful. "uncle! hello!" the little girl squeed in glee, and leaped right into his arms. "hello, eun chae." he replied with a chuckle, while lifting her up and holding her in his arms. giggles filled the air, as he greeted his cousin with a smile. "uncle, uncle~ can we go to the playground?" the male paused for a moment and looked at her. "if eun chae gives uncle a kiss?"

he received the smooch with a big smile, just to notice one of his fellow trainees watching the whole scene. there weren't many within kt that had seen this side of him, but he guessed it wouldn't hurt to have more knowing about it. "eun chae, say hello to my friend over there."

well. that was a way to kick off their comeback month.

in all honesty, ahyoung had to try her hardest to cover her mouth so her laugh wouldn’t resound off of the walls in the dorm whenever she caught wind of the news. it was obvious that joohyun was absolutely gorgeous and it was only natural that she would draw stares -- not only for her beauty, but as eclipse newest member -- but a longing gaze from someone like woohyun? not like it’s a bad thing, and it isn’t like she know what the boy is like when he’s hopelessly in love, but what she does know is that none of the accusations sound like his behavior; especially as an idol dating another idol. ( or at least, she thinks. but she’s also pretty sure. )

it’s all a big joke to her, something that’s laughed at and forgotten once practice kicks in again and more important decisions come afterward, like what they’re going to eat for dinner. it’s all laughter and fun -- especially as someone who was embroiled in a similar situation years ago -- until she comes to learn that joohyun had to have a little ‘talk’ with someone about what went on. and although they’re kept busy enough during the day where she isn’t able to speak to the girl about it one on one, it’s suddenly not that fun anymore whenever ahyoung realizes that she was most likely blamed for something she didn’t do, god forbid punished for just existing.

she hopes that’s not the case, but the thought of it already pisses her off.

ahyoung doesn’t approach the girl until the dorm quiets down for the night, around the time they should be sleeping but instead she’s found making tea in the dimmed light of the kitchen, hoping that it would help her rest easier. it always did whenever jinki made it. there’s a sudden sense of another presence behind her and she turns to see a figure in the background, and with a squint of her eyes to get a better view she finds that it’s joohyun. “oh hey, wassup. you tryin’ to sneak up on me like some stalker?” she says lowly, in an attempt not to disturb the others, “like, ariel is already in love with me -- have you fallen too?” and once the words are out of her mouth she freezes, forgetting the situation that the other is in and the realization causes her to palm to meet her forehead with a piercing slap -- “shit -- sorry, didn’t mean to say -- do that. y’know. fuck, my bad.” and she allows a couple of beats of silence to pass, wallowing in her idiocy before she points over to her brewing teapot, “y’want some tea? it helps me sleep -- or do you wanna talk? about anything? whatever?”
