Ch. 4: Persuasion vs. Convincing
In chapter 4, Perelman compares the ideas of persuasion and convincing. What it comes down to is the audience. When someone is using persuasion, they are presenting to a particular audience. When someone is convincing, they are presenting to an universal audience. It is interesting to compare the two differences. These two types of argumentation are important factors when facing certain audiences.
