bridget sometimes found solace walking through the athletic fields. she only played a club sport, but seeing people so dedicated to something they love inspired her. she brought a small notebook and began sketching people mid-pass as football practice seemed to wind down. people were cooling down and leaving the locker rooms, conversing with their friends about their classes and most recent date. she took a sip of her iced coffee, smiling at the sight of a familiar face. “jayden,” she rested her elbows on the metal railing separating the field and the bleachers, “how was your practice?”
