It was tiresome work, getting the troops mobilised and travelling for so long on the King’s Road. He could likely help himself if he were to beg travel on the back of a wagon or even on a horse (though he’d likely need help remaining in a a saddle since his experience on the beasts was nil)... King Robb would likely be the first to tell him to do so, yet he denied himself such luxury in favour of punishingly long walks day upon day.
It was always a relief when the orders were called to cease moving and set up camp. He went about such business without fuss, a small tent before a fire was kindled and then he helped with the food preparation. Then came his favourite part of these long days; sitting by a burning fire, his aching legs finally able to rest while his eyes drooped, simply enjoying the pleasure of doing nothing.
Or so he’d hoped to do so until a loud group of soldiers took up with the few others at the fire. He’d have paid them no mind but he recognised the Kraken symbol on their armour: Ironborn. He had no issue with them, but he suspected they would have some with him; their hatred of his people was no secret. All at once Jojen was too aware of the lizard-lion skin adorning his attire.
