When the girl rised up on her tip-toes he instinctively wrapped an arm around her small frame, the hand resting on the curve between her hips and her waist to support her, his eyes closed feeling the gentile touch of her lips. He surely didn’t lacked physical contact in his life, but sincere and gentile ones like that were something so unusual to him that he gave in that spontaneous gesture by closing his eyes, and a smile curled his lips up without him realizing it. The hand tightened the hold on her waist lightly, and the other hand moved behind her back, fingers threading with her long shiny hair, and when she was back on her feet he looked at her. Such a kind stranger, so pretty, and sweet enough to do such a simple yet so appreciated gesture.
He spoke in a gentle smooth tone, looking into her eyes “Happy Holidays too, gentle girl. You really deserve them” No doubt he would have kept that memory with him, treasuring it for long, long time.
Dawn didn’t think much of it at first as she leaned in to kiss his cheek but his hands holding her from falling and the way she noticed his eyes closing, made an odd feeling rise in her stomach and her heart pound lightly. She normally didn’t do much physical contact but this seemed natural to her. It was strange how such a simple moment can stick with someone, she could recall the soft earthy scent of his cologne that seemed to go perfectly with her flowery perfume and the smooth texture of his skin against her lips.
Once she was back on her feet, she combed her long, brunette locks out of her hair as she shyly looked back up at him with her deep brown eyes meeting his own. “I don’t normally do that sort of thing..”
