     “just hit me in the head with a frying pan. it’ll be less painful than this migraine, trust me.” the ache has yet to dissipate, and jun’s already taken a handful of aspirin. at this point he’s wondering where he could get morphine, the pain is that bad.

“how about no? if it hurts that bad, let’s go to the hospital.” she offered. she was feeling one come on herself. one particular spirit wouldn’t stop bothering her, just a never ending pest in her ear and now it was starting to cause a migraine to form. “just you talking about one is giving me a headache.”

             Minhyuk nods his head, because Minah is excited indeed which he can totally understand. She has been cooped up inside for a while now because she was sick, so the idea of doing something fun excites her for sure. “Great,” he smiles, genuinely happy that Jiyoung will be joining them.

Jiyoung picked up Minah and spun her around, making silly faces at the girl before putting her down and ruffling her hair. “Go get your stuff and bring me a comb and I’ll braid your hair, okay?” She asked her, flashing a grin at the other as she watched the little one walk off. Jiyoung took this moment to look over at her boyfriend that she adored so much with a soft smile on her face. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she pulled him in for a quick couple of peck. “She’s got your smile you know. Though I think I may prefer hers over your goofy one.”

             “She has been asking me to bring her to the playground ever since the first day she got sick and now that she’s better, I plan on taking her there and maybe head to the shopping mall as well, get her something new maybe.” He explains Jiyoung with a smile, glad to see his daughter running around the small apartment happily again. “Do you think you can join us?” He hopes she can, because he likes to haver her with him and so does Minah.

“Oh really? That’s fun! I’m sure she’s excited.” She commented before looking at him with some surprise that he even would ask her to join him on such a sweet father-daughter outing. “Sure. I don’t have an issue coming. I’ll just do my lesson planning later.” Jiyoung flashed a huge smile at Minah as she pulled up her hair.

“Was that so hard?” Hanhae questioned. He was sure it was, if he was being followed by someone equally as creepy he would probably not feel the best. But he digressed. “My approach isn’t the best I was raised in Russia, not the most subtle of people.” He offered with a snort. Honestly that wasn’t it but it was a good excuse. Hanhae let go of her and stepped back far enough so she didn’t waste her energy trying to attack him, it was a waste of time. “So what are you running from? I couldn’t see anyone else when I saw you.” Maybe the person was still coming. Hanhae turned back into the direction he’d followed the woman. “Who is it?”

“And I was raised in France. You think we’re subtle?” She offered back, rolling her eyes in annoyance. As he let her go, Angel whipped around to look at her “assailant”. He seemed to be much calmer now but her flags to not trust the other still ran high and red. “Some stalker. He knocked me out, I woke up in his place and I escaped. I assume he’s out getting something so I don’t have much time before he realizes I’m gone.” She stated, walking away from the other towards what she could hear was the road.

—        “who made up these rules ? ” the sound of miyoung’s high pitched voice immediately interjected towards the end of other female’s sentence. for once in her life, it was easier to be herself, rather than attempting to remain poised and polite for other.  “I don’t think I’m a fan of them at all, but I guess I can make an exception when you’re the one doing it. just… no poking ! or else…” a manicured hand pressed against the surface of sanghee’s cheek, gently pinching at the tender skin enough to annoy her, yet relaxed enough to not do any real harm. “there will be more of these where that came from.” 

                “hey ! ” the male tried to feign an expression of offence upon the mention of the donut-eating contest the three had around a few weeks prior. “I thought we made a promise to never bring that up again. the aftermath of everything… wasn’t pretty.” just thinking about it was enough to make sungjae cringe for a moment, until he was pulled downward beneath the petite female’s hold. “excuse me, but do you know how many people would love to have these two giant pains of asses around them ? you should be flattered, small bean.”

“me!” she teased, her voice riddled with laughter at the other’s exclaim. sanghee was typically a very stoic person during the day. the model of professionalism and an ideal student in the eyes of her professors and peers but with the two of them, it was impossible to keep a straight face. the girl playfully pouted at the pinch to her cheek, a childish whine escaping her as she gave the other puppy like eyes. the male’s mention of their contest forced her to laugh again, seeing the familiar diner in sight for the three of them. “i guess i’ll keep you guys but thanks for admitting you’re a pain in the ass.”

min raised a brow when she asked if he was going to tell anyone. crossing his arms over his chest he looked at her calmly. he really had no reason to tell anyone there’s wasn’t much to gain from it, but perhaps he could mess with the female a bit. it was like she was two different people between he two different lifestyles. moving his hands from his chest and slipping them into his pockets he paced a bit and looked back to her as she said that her committee couldn’t hear anything about it that she may be in trouble she shrugged. “well if I don’t tell what exactly will I get out of this once in a life time opportunity chance?” he asked more so teasing a small smirk creeping on his lips. 

being a singer was as much of a dream to her as being an author, both made her feel free and alive. however, most internships wanted professionalism, not the wild side that sanghee showed at night. sanghee looked down at her feet, unsure of how to answer. she had never been subject to this sort of relationship so her brain was drawing blanks on how to make it easier for herself. “depends on what you want.” the girl carefully phrased, her eyes meeting his with a gaze curious on his own answer.

she nodded listening to the other speak as she poured her a cup of coffee. “my pleasure.” she said placing down the mug next to her plate then bringing the tiny cup of sugar and creamer to make it to her liking. woori was use to waking up extremely early for work but today was her day off. “i did–i did.” she said taking a seat with her bowl of fruit since she had already ate her pancake. “i woke up so early today yet i don’t work until tomorrow.” she said laughing lightly still very tired. “what are you doing today sanghee?” she asked curiously before sipping her coffee. she didn’t want to ask too many questions since it was just morning–she too was tired.

“i have a couple of papers to write and i might practice my guitar today. i only have class two days a week so i’m pretty free today.” she replied, eating her pancake and fruit. the girl was slowly beginning to wake up with the help of her coffee but sleep still seemed to call her.  woori seemed nice like the other housemates but there was still a fear in the back of her head of her second life coming forward and her possibly losing her internship because of it. “plus i have to work on the website for the internship i have and some other stuff.”

silence fills the luxurious house as all the housemates were fast asleep except for her. pulling the apron over her head, somi began to prep and cook breakfast for her housemates. a few of them worked early so she thought that it’d be nice to have made something for them. her face lit up seeing someone sit down on the bar stool watching her cook. “morning.” she greeted softly grabbing a mug for the other. “coffee? tea?” she asked as she turned her attention to the pancakes “did you sleep well?” she asked plating the cooked food and placing fruits on the plate. “hope this is okay,“ she said placing the plate of food in front of the other. she walked over and placed the rest of the food onto a plate for the rest of the housemates to have when they were to wake up. 

her eyes were barely open as she stumbled into the living room, tired from last night’s gig. none of her new roommates knew that she was a musician at night but they did know that she was a university student. she had to adjust her routine to be on this program. she would wash off her make up and leave her clothes with her bandmates to be able to come home without anyone knowing. she bowed politely at the other housemate, flashing a soft smile as she nodded for coffee. sanghee was genuinely surprised when the other gave her food, bowing her head in thanks as she ate. “thank you. it’s really good. did you sleep well?” she asked, looking over at the other.

open: m/f/nb connection: anyone really

the first moment always has the loudest silence. the kind that leaves you thinking to yourself about what was happening. no words are spoken but the intensity of feelings in that moment spoke enough. nathan grew up on a farm and saw the same things over and over but never questioned anything. he supposed that this was how life was meant to be, how it played out. the best thing to happen to him was leaving his small hometown to seek after a career bigger than anything he had experienced. however, the eerie, distant feeling he had when he saw the ghost of his room that seemed to only have the bare essentials was the first step into his new experience.

computer engineering was as difficult as he had initially believed and he can recall the countless nights he spends grinding his nose in a book to understand his course work. that’s when he felt that same odd feeling in his gut. the feeling of routine and ordinary life. he figured that this emotion came in cycles like everything did but often questioned if he was truly living his life to the fullest. it was a typical morning for him: coffee, a jog, and a trip to the bakery but today was different.

anyone who has fallen in love can remember the exact moment when it happened and he knew that this was that moment. everything seemed to be moving slower as if his brain was trying to capture every detail of this memory like it knew that this was something that needed to be remembered. he had never seen someone like them. he had recognized them because he had seen them around but knew nothing about them. the delivery boy knew that there was something about them but he couldn’t place what it was. he was far too focused on the tightness of his stomach and sudden awareness of his own heartbeat.

that day ended in nothing. he didn’t speak to them or do anything but part of him hoped that they would return to him and let him know their world. weeks went by and no sign of them but nathan still had every inch of them engraved in his mind. however, life still called and another shift delivering pizza came his way. it was his last delivery of the night before he had to return home to another evening with his nose crammed in a book. as he waited for the door to open, he took the time to take in his environment before he heard the door fly open and the moment from weeks ago resurfaced as he saw them right in front of him. was this a dream? “y-yes, you ordered some pizza?”

“Hola, mi amor.” Her proud Spanish accent slipping through as she moved through the restaurant as if a breeze was pushing her forward. The girl excitedly twirled to show off her chef’s jacket with a bright grin plastered across her face. “What do you think? Isn’t it beautiful? They finally gave me one! Maybe we can go out tonight to celebrate?” Isabelle mused, seemingly dancing around happily. The people around seemed to deeply enjoy her small display until the girl pulled the other outside and wrapped them in a tight embrace. “What brings you over though? You never come over at this time.”

open: m/f/nb connection: they know about her punk life at night even though she tries to act like an innocent angel during the day and she’s freaking out

“you’re not going to tell anyone, right?” she muttered quietly, making sure that nobody was around to eavesdrop on her. sanghee was a model student during the day, spending her days studying and doing well as a first year college student. however, someone had discovered what she was like outside of her eye smile and perfect exam scores. in the dark of night, sanghee goes only by sang rose as she performs as a bassist and vocalist for her friend’s band in various clubs. she had picked venues way out of the campus radar to avoid classmates and professors but this one person seemed to catch her: fishnet tights and all. “look, i need you to not tell anyone about this. if the committee heard anything about it, i could get into serious trouble so i don’t know what i need to do to make sure that this never gets out but let’s talk.”

yuna could remember that night so clearly. it was like a movie playing over and over in emotionless yuna’s mind. it was some formal that her roommate in college at forced her to go to and while yuna pretended like she didn’t care, she actually did. she spent longer making sure her appearance was perfect from her long wavy fairy like hair to the intricate details of her gown. she was even excited when they took photos of her looking so beautiful. yuna could recall the twisted feeling of her stomach as she walked into the room alone but despite feeling beautiful, she seemed to blend into the background.

the girl spent most of the evening staring at the aquarium in the hall with the music playing in the distance. it was during one perfect song that she met eyes with him from the other side of the water. two perfect orbs staring back and acknowledging her, silently admiring her beauty. it seemed like things were moving in slow motion as he came around the aquarium to speak to her. ‘pretty girl shouldn’t be by herself. perhaps if you don’t mind, would you like to dance?’ those were the beginning of that magical night where she was swept off of her feet. there was dancing, driving to the beach and long, thoughtful talks for the rest of the evening.

the two of them drifted apart after that evening. he was the brother of a student at her school who accompanied a friend to the dance but had to go back to home in the morning. long distance would have never worked so the two simply put the magical evening behind them but now the same two orbs were staring at her again. she was now a professor and at a fancy event but she knew those eyes anywhere. “there’s no fucking way.”

“When are you going to realize that this is never going to be what it supposed to be?” She muttered, her eyes closing to keep herself from throwing things at him. Marriage was supposed to be a dream. She had known since she was fourteen that she would be married off to someone but even in the few meetings she had with her future husband, she knew that she would never love him like how her mother loved her father. He was pleasant, nice, and handsome but when she had met him, she was in love with someone else. When they got married, she was still in love with someone else and now that they were married and she had gotten over the other person, she was seeing how one sided this relationship really was. “Are you even happy with this? We fake happiness every time we are in public and it’s just silence here. Why do you continue with this?”
