A Question | 1971 | Nicolet
Violet wasn’t sure anyone was allowed to be as happy as she was. She’d been out of school for a while now, and working at Ogdens. Slowly but surely she was learning the ropes of the company, and her father was giving her more responsibility. Within the next two years she would be in charge, with her fathers oversight of course but she would be the head of the company. But work wasn’t the sole reason she was so happy, but everything in her life just felt right, mainly, Nick.
They’d been dating a few years now, and Violet still felt like she was in the first few weeks of dating him whenever they were together because she still got butterflies, and could never wipe her smile from her face. Of course when they were leaving school Violet had been worried that things between them might change. And things had changed, but they had changed for the better, which she hadn’t believed possible but they had. She was head over heels in love with him.
She knocked on the door of Nick’s flat, and brushed down her skirt, he’d told her they were going on a date night. This wasn’t uncommon, but she always loved getting a little dressed up and making an effort. When the door opened she grinned, leaning forward and giving him a quick kiss “ ’Lo love”
