“My darling, come to me.” Extending an arm, Campbell took Riley’s hand, pulling him closer until his body rested in her lap. Her arms enveloped him tenderly, her cheek rested against the top of his head as she pressed soft kisses into his curls. “How are you feeling, my sweet, sweet man? Are you alright? One thing at a time, my love.” @subrileyduval
PRIVATE
Riley, my love. I wanted a quiet moment with you to ensure you are doing alright with all of this. Kneel for me, my perfect darling. Eyes on me, do not allow your gaze to waiver. Breathe in on a five count, just as we have practiced, hold it for me sweetheart, then breathe out slowly on a five count. You are safe, Riley. I am here. I shall not allow any harm to come to you, my sweetest darling. Trust in me, and trust in your family- Nikolai, Declan, Deven, Nicholas, and Hunter- to ensure that we shall all come out on the other side of this madness. @subrileyduval
“I hope, my love, that you will allow me the honor of kissing you at midnight. I simply could not imagine anything more perfect.” @subrileyduval
Campbell gazed down at the man in her arms, fingers moving lazily through his hair as she pressed herself to him. “Riley, my darling. I love you. I realize I have said as much a million times since your return, but I must say it again. I love you. How are you feeling, my sweet? And, you must tell me what it is you would like for Christmas. We have not even discussed our plans.” @subrileyduval
There were many things Campbell Clarington did not do, the primary of which was running. It wasn’t that she didn’t possess the physical capability to do so- in fact she did. But, it simply wasn’t part of her aesthetic, or anything she cared to do regularly. Unless she was dancing, her shoe of choice was inevitably some form of heel or pump, which only added another reason for her refusal to partake in that specific sort of cardio. But, the moment Riley had relayed his location, Campbell had hopped from her place in bed, wearing nothing but shorts and a tank top, slipped into her bedroom slipper, and ran from her suite, heading directly for the Administrative Building.
Tears streamed down her face and her chest burned as she went, but nothing could have slowed her down. The decision to send Riley away after the rebellion had been her own. Their claim had been forcibly broken, and more than anything Campbell wanted to give Riley the ability to experience every amazing thing life had to offer, things he had never been able to experience, even as her submissive. It ripped the Domme apart every day, but she had made the only decision she felt right at the time. Every day since, she had felt her heart breaking just a little more, until she began approaching the point which made her believe she might never be able to put it back together again.
Riley’s figure came into view, and Campbell picked up her pace, her grin stretching from ear to ear as she closed the final distance between them. Her body collided with Riley’s, her arms raising to wrap tightly around him, holding him against her- clinging to him for dear life. “Riley...” She whispered, her voice shaky and filled with tears. “I have missed you so, so terribly. My Perfect Man.” Releasing him, Campbell brought her hands up to cup both his cheeks, her eyes running over him, taking him in, reassuring herself that he was real. He was here. He was still hers. In Riley’s peripheral vision, he would have been able to see the bracelet around her wrist, the one she’d worn since the diagnosis he’d received when they were young, after his accident. It was the same bracelet her father had given her, so that Riley would be able to identify her no matter where they were. The identifying mark that reminded him that he’d found his Domme. Campbell had never taken it off. Her mind raced almost as fast as her heartbeat but she couldn’t settle on just one thought. “Speak to me, my love. Please darling, I need to hear your voice. Are you alright? Tell me how you are feeling. Where on Earth did you come from, Riley? Where were you?” Her hands dropped to find his, their fingers locking together while she leaned in to place a kiss on his forehead, then nose, then chin, before moving to both cheeks, and finally settling on his lips.
