“How does it look,” Sydney asked with a goofy grin, showing off the pair of sunglasses on her face. They were slightly too big for her face and neon pink. Certainly not the kind of sunglasses she'd usually wear. But, considering the party's colorful 80's neon theme, it seemed fitting. “I think they’re pretty trendy. Don’t you?”

It was election season. Which inevitably meant attending events with her parents to help her father win the election. Tonight was no different. Except that a promising rival and their family were making an appearance tonight. She’d been chatting and laughing when her father called to her. Turning around, she saw him beckoning her over to introduce to his rival. The laughter died on her lips as she saw a familiar face standing next to them. Clearing her throat, she made her way over and gave them all a little wave. “Hi.” She purposefully avoided eye contact and simply glanced over at her dad.
“Maybe this was a terrible idea. I’m sorry for bothering you.”

plot: sydney has come to the party with a plus one and your muse is acting a little cagey about it (maybe they just don’t trust the plus one or they’re jealous bc they like her or her plus one but haven’t told her)
“You’re not jealous, are you,” Sydney joked with a laugh. “I mean, you’ve got your own plus one, right?” The brunette pushed a strand of stray hair behind her ear as she looked at the other with furrowed brows. She knew something was off from the way they were behaving. And she had an inkling it had to do with her plus one Ian given it started the second they saw him. But, what it was about Ian that bothered them, she didn’t know.

“Do you really have to be so reckless all the time,” Sydney exclaimed, giving Henrik a shaky push. She wasn’t sure if it was the anger or the fear that was making her shake like a leaf. It could easily be both. “Why do you have to be so reckless! Is it really so hard for you to just not get involved in dangerous stuff!”
