Babysitting | 1968 | Vi + Tib

Achelous and Orchid were out tonight, having gone out for a business dinner, and even though Violet usually tagged along since she was older now and her parents wanted to see how the company worked in every aspect, the babysitter that was supposed to come had to cancel. So now Vi had been looking after her siblings, which she actually loved. 

She had cooked them dinner and they had played a few board games, but now it was time to bed. Bob had fallen asleep almost instantly, but Tib, that was a different story. Vi had been sitting in his room trying to get him to sleep for half an hour “Tib, Mum and Dad will be so mad if they get home and you’re not asleep. Am I going to have to bribe you?”

Emmeline walked into the Ravenclaw common room and sat down in the nearest armchair she could find, dropping her book bag on the ground. It had been a very long day, sure she did have one free period, but she had spent it studying anyway. It was the final push of studying before NEWTs and everyone in Seventh Year was turning into a shell of themselves, the only thing on their mind was the final exams. 

She didn’t realise that she had fallen asleep until someone shook her awake and she woke with a startled gasp. “Bloody hell.” she groaned, rubbing at her eyes, looking up to see who had woken her up. “Oh, Hey Tiberius” she smiled “Was I snoring?” she asked, pulling down one corner of her mouth in apology
