Another ask to Black Forest: If you could give your children any advice today, what would it be?
“Advice…? Well I suppose I do wish I thought of them sooner so at least they’ll hear it face to face…”
“For my eldest, I would tell her that life isn’t always sweet but it won’t always be bitter either, in fact regardless of whatever happens it’ll always be a mix of both. Like a box of assorted chocolate, life will be full of surprises, both good and bad. But life is still a gift, much like how all of my children are. Ha… Now I just reminded myself of why my husband and I chose her name.”
“… But I still wish regardless of anything hardships she’ll face, she’ll find happiness in her future.”
“For my eldest son, what makes a great hero or king isn’t just because they are strong, made great feats, or carry the most powerful weapon and army. In the end their hearts also matter, and what and who they are accomplishing for. And that it’s ok to make mistakes and falter, no king is perfect. I mean, look at his father for example haha.”
“And I’m sure that even if he’s anything like him, namely being more stubborn than all the cream bison in the Milk Tribe, he’ll find his way to learning that on his own.”
“And my youngest… I would advise him to be brave and stand tall, but it’s ok to lean on the people you trust. And to also to be more forgiving to himself, especially when the years go by and needs to make tough decisions for himself. The world is cruel but it’s not always so, I’ve learned that lesson from personal experience.”
“I don’t know if anything I say here would’ve been helpful if I did have a chance to tell them. And if they did I really wish now I thought of them sooner.”
