The classic goodness of chocolate chip cookies is combined with the fun of cut-out shapes in these Chocolate Chip Cut Out Cookies. They're ideal for any occasion and can be customized to match your theme.
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. 2 cups all-purpose flour. teaspoon baking powder. teaspoon salt. cup mini chocolate chips.
Instructions: Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix them in well. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. It's okay to add the little chocolate chips. Split the dough in half, make two discs out of it, and wrap each one in plastic wrap. Put the dough in the fridge for at least an hour to cool it down. Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets. On a floured surface, roll out one piece of dough to about inch thick. Cut out the shapes you want with cookie cutters and place them on the baking sheets that have been prepared. Roll out the dough again and cut out more shapes. For 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden, bake the cookies. Once the cookies are cool enough, move them from the baking sheets to a wire rack to finish cooling. Use the second piece of dough to roll, cut, and bake again. After the cookies are completely cool, you can use icing to make them look nice or just eat them plain.
