This was a new dish concept that I came up with a couple of days ago. Honey-glazed halibut with cucumber slaw, over a wasabi-pea purée. I'll just say it: This dish needs a lot of tweaking. It wasn't bad, but the flavors didn't come together quite right... if this were a "Top Chef" dish, I'd have to pack my knives and go. Local whiteboy fucks it up gloop style

Steamed tapioca cake. Brown sugar & coconut milk layers. I don’t like the texture which is weird because I kinda like mochi and this is kinda like mochi, but I discovered the wonders of Chinese brown sugar slabs so that’s good. it apparently has like.. more molasses or something. tbf I had a kinda funky steaming setup too & I had to convert weight to cups since my family still refuses to buy a kitchen scale (atp I might just buy one for myself)
